Parkview Home is a nonprofit nursing home and residential care facility in Wayland, Iowa, serving families across Henry County and nearby communities such as Mt. Pleasant and Washington. Our nursing team includes registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and certified nursing assistants who provide care around the clock. They work alongside dietary, social services, activities, housekeeping, laundry and maintenance staff, and a medical director oversees clinical care. Care Services
At Parkview, we offer a broad spectrum of nursing and therapeutic services designed to meet the diverse needs of our residents. Our services include 24-hour skilled nursing care, rehabilitation programs, respite care, hospice services, and a variety of therapies (Physical, Occupational, Speech). Each resident benefits from individualized care plans, medication management, and a host of other services aimed at enhancing their quality of life.
Care plans are developed together with each resident, their family and our interdisciplinary team, and they are updated as needs change.
Skilled nursing and long-term care. 24-hour professional nursing for people with complex medical needs, including medication management, pain management, wound care management, intravenous (IV) therapy and tube feedings.
Rehab to home. One-on-one physical, occupational and speech therapy after a stroke, fracture or surgery, with the goal of helping you regain your prior level of function and return home when it is medically appropriate.
Respite and hospice care. Short stays that give family caregivers a break, and end-of-life care focused on comfort, dignity and support for the whole family.
Restorative nursing. A very active restorative nursing program helps residents keep strength, mobility and independence. At Parkview we focus on our residents' abilities instead of their limitations.

Living Options
Explore our range of living arrangements designed to suit different levels of independence and care needs, from Residential Living to Independent Living units. Each setting is equipped to provide a comfortable, homelike atmosphere while ensuring the safety and health of our residents.
Independent seniors can choose a duplex or five-unit condo in Parkview Village, or a one- or two-bedroom apartment three blocks from downtown Wayland. Residents who need daily help can move into one of eighteen private residential care (RCF) rooms or a two-room suite, with medication administration, meals, bathing assistance, housekeeping and laundry included. Payment & Insurance
We believe in transparency and flexibility when it comes to payment options. Parkview Home accepts Private Payments, Long Term Care Insurance, Medicare A & B, and Medicaid/Managed Care. Our nonprofit status allows us to reinvest in our home, our residents, our staff, and the quality of care we provide.
Medicare Part A may help pay for a short-term skilled nursing or rehabilitation stay when Medicare's requirements are met, and Medicare Part B can cover therapy services. Does Parkview Home offer short-term rehab? Yes. Our rehab to home program provides one-on-one physical, occupational and speech therapy after a hospital stay, a stroke, a fracture or surgery.
What is the difference between residential care and nursing care? Residential care is for people who are mostly independent but need help with medications, meals, bathing and housekeeping, with nursing oversight 24 hours a day. Nursing care is for people who need hands-on professional nursing around the clock.
Can residents keep their own doctor? Yes. We offer weekly in-house physician visits, but residents may choose to be seen at their own physician's office instead.
Is Parkview Home a faith-based community? Yes. Parkview has been governed by a church-affiliated board since 1961, and our mission is rooted in the faith and values of the local Mennonite churches. Sunday church services and Bible studies are part of life here.
